Sarah Branquinho is President of the Duty Free World Council and a leading advocate for the duty-free and travel retail industry. With a career spanning commercial leadership and policy, she has held senior roles at TFWA, BAA, World Duty Free, and Avolta, where she continues to advise on external affairs. Sarah has also chaired the UK Travel Retail Forum, led the European Travel Retail Confederation, and represents the industry at global aviation forums, championing its role in enhancing the passenger journey.
As President of the Duty Free World Council, Sarah is an active advocate for the duty-free and travel retail industry and the key role it plays in enhancing transport infrastructure and the passenger experience. Sarah started her DF&TR career as the first Commercial Director of TFWA, before moving 10 years later into advocacy, holding key roles in several of the industry’s campaigns. She joined BAA and its retail company World Duty Free, serving the company that is today Avolta as Director of External Affairs, and for two years as Dufry’s Global Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer. She continues to serve as External Affairs Advisor to Avolta (formerly Dufry). Alongside her commercial roles, she has served as Chair of the UK Travel Retail Forum (2009 – 2018), President of the European Travel Retail Confederation (2012 - 2018), President of the Duty Free World Council (2017 – present) and as the World Business Partner observer on the ACI Europe Board.

Carlos Loaiza Keel
Carlos Loaiza is the Secretary General of ASUTIL. A graduate of the University of Montevideo with a doctorate in law, Carlos Loaiza began his professional career at PwC in Uruguay, before joining Garrigues in Madrid and Latin America in 2006. There he developed an extensive professional practice advising on complex operations for large multinational groups, including several major projects in the Latin American legal market. In 2009 he was a foreign associate of the firm Barros & Errázuriz Abogados in Santiago de Chile and in 2013 of the firm Proskauer in New York, United States. He is Director of the Postgraduate Course in International Taxation at the University of Montevideo, and has published 5 books and numerous articles in his specialist field.
Carlos has played an active role in the development of Uruguyan border duty free association CEFSU (the Uruguayan Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Free Shops) since its establishment in 2010, and as General Secretary he has developed a productive relationship with authorities from Uruguay and Brazil as well as with the different companies involved in the sector. He has contributed to some of the most significant transactions in the market in recent years, such as the acquisition of Grupo Neutral by JH Partners in 2011. Carlos is a regular speaker at conferences and forums in the duty free and travel retail sector, including the ASUTIL Conference, as well as directing the Consultor Tributario publication, a collaboration between El Observador and Thomson Reuters Uruguay.

Dr. Peter Mohn is the CEO and owner of m1nd-set, the world’s leading travel research agency based in Switzerland. A psychologist with a PhD in Business Psychology, he has over 25 years of experience in global market research, specializing in travel retail since 2004. Under his leadership, m1nd-set supports over 135 clients worldwide with unique shopper insights and in-depth airport fieldwork, including the Business 1ntelligence Service (B1S), a benchmark in the industry. Peter is a father of four, a globetrotter, and an avid sports enthusiast.
Dr Peter Mohn graduated as a psychologist and earned a PhD in Business Psychology at the University of Göttingen, Germany. He has worked for various leading global market research agencies since over 25 years and has specialized in travel research since 2004. The company he co-founded early 2007, m1nd-set, works as an insights partner and consultant to more than 135 companies in the travel industry from all around the world. m1nd-set is also the research partner of most travel retail associations. Today, Peter is the 100% owner and CEO of m1nd-set, and Swiss based m1nd-set is the worldwide leading agency in travel research, serving clients in all continents of the world. The agencies’ USPs are their unique insights knowledge, the fieldwork capacities at over 60 airports worldwide, and their subscription based tool Business 1ntelligence Service (B1S), which is based on ca 30.000 interviews annually since 2016 with Travel Retail shoppers across channels, covering the whole shopping journey in all categories and sub-categories. Peter has a Norwegian passport, is a passionate father of four children, loves traveling around the world, has visited over 70 countries (and counting), loves to play golf, tennis or mountain bike in the Swiss mountains whenever time allows. Peter has lived and worked in six countries and speaks German, English, Swedish and Dutch.
