Gustavo Fagundes is an experienced executive in the travel retail and duty free industry, currently serving as CEO of Avolta Brasil (Former Dufry do Brasil). With a strong background in general management, retail operations, and strategic leadership, he has held various key positions within Dufry Group across Latin America. His roles have included COO for South America and Cluster General Manager for Brazil and Bolivia, where he has led business expansion, operations optimization, and organizational growth.
He has over two decades of experience in retail and consumer goods, combining a solid foundation in law and business administration with hands-on operational leadership in dynamic, multicultural environments.
Gustavo graduated in Business Administration and Management at EAESP/Fundação Getúlio Vargas - SP/Brazil, and has a Master’s in International Economics and Management from the University of Bocconi in Milan, Italy. His other qualifications include an Executive MBA from the Corporate University of AmBev, as well as a Certificate in General Management Program from Harvard Business School.
